SD obtained information from Ornamental Iron regarding the addition of a physical security barrier on top of the existing fence behind The Club. It has been determined that it would be structurally and cost prohibitive at this time. The Board will review other options.
The carpet stains on the fourth floor have been removed.
The revised House Rules have been posted in the glass case, and on our website.
Topics discussed:
The Board unanimously agreed that it will not reply to anonymous letters.
Damaged wallpaper, and paint in hall outside unit #408.
Our camping & loitering deterrence initiatives, which includes increased sprinkler frequency in front of The Club, appears to be having positive results.
Future maintenance and to-do items:
The board will seek legal counsel regarding the placement of satellite dishes.
Revised: Painting of the south and east-facing balcony railings should be finished by September 30.
Revised: Fourth floor deck maintenance should also be finished by September 30.
The Board has asked SD to arrange for the trimming of the trees in front, and the vegetation growing on the pergola in the courtyard.
On 9/19, The Board will be meeting with our city councilman Derek Kitchen regarding the direction of our neighborhood. Specifically to learn more about the city’s strategy for the Public Safety building at 315 E. 200 S. James will provide a visual image that demonstrates the concentration of subsidized/affordable housing already in our immediate area. We also wanted to voice our concerns about the issues with the 145 building directly across the street from The Club.
Meeting adjourned.
