On 9/19, the Board met with our city councilman Derek Kitchen and public policy analyst Russell Weeks at city hall to discuss our concerns regarding the 145 South, and Public Safety buildings across the street. We also wanted to make them mindful of the existing affordable housing on our block in their future affordable housing plans.

  2. Converting garage lighting from fluorescent – as they burn out – to LED will gradually occur.

  1. Future maintenance and to-do items:
  2. Continued: The board will seek legal counsel regarding the placement of satellite dishes.
  3. Revised: Painting of the south and east-facing balcony railings should be finished by October 31.
  4. SD will obtain a hard-copy manual for our camera security system to assist us with future research efforts.
  5. SD will work with our garage door installer to fine-tune the open/close timing to help improve security.
  6. The Board has asked SD to arrange for the trimming of the trees in front, and the very tall pine tree in the southwest corner of the courtyard.
  7. Turn off the courtyard fountain shortly after October 31 for the winter season.
  8. SD will contact Russ Watts to identify ownership of the black fence behind our building. If it belongs to us, he will see if the top of the fence can be extended to help prevent trespassers.
  9. Due to security concerns, the Board has asked SD to explore options for closing off the narrow opening behind the northwest corner of the garage.
  10. Meeting adjourned.
